When Eileen Connolly and her son, Peter Paul, created this deck (2.75” X 4.75” cards & 22 page booklet) , they intuitively felt the need to keep the basics and original aspects of the Tarot from its early traditions, yet it needed to be a positive, uplifting source for modern day living. The vibrant colors, deep symbology and clear interpretation, this deck has a powerful means for opening communications from within.  There are changes from the earlier tarot, however, which also lend well to the current daily life situations. For example, in the Major Arcana, the Death card aspects as “Transformation” and The Devil is “Materialism”. The symbolism on the other Majors has been changed as well to allow the reader a clearer, modern understanding during a reading. This deck  works great as a “self” deck, for those seeking a deck to read on one’s self. However it’s truly a universal deck, too, making reading for others with clarity and direction. Scenes in the Minors have been re-interpreted artistically, but the meanings remain traditional. The suit of Swords has been toned down. There is no bloodshed or violence to women depicted anywhere in this deck.  The booklet included with the deck gives descriptions and interpretations.
