In an homage to the
Rider-Waite deck, particularly to the almost forgotten artist, Pamela Colman
Smith, this deck and informative booklet shed a refreshing light on the
historical and esoteric significance of the Rider-Waite. The original designs
of the Rider-Waite are incorporated with borders of bright designs giving
a window box effect to them, as if the reader is peering in at the Rider
card through a window from the mind's eye.
The author of the
booklet, Marie-Louise Bergoint, explains the many attributes that the symbology
and meanings of tarot represent in our daily lives, quoting Jung and Socrates.
This deck may have a familiar face, but as she states in the booklet, we
are all invited to play our part more consciously and with greater enjoyment,
in this endless game of constant change.
